Richie Allan Joins Qualified Trainers as VP of Growth & Partnerships (UK & Europe)

Qualified Trainers has appointed Richie Allan to lead growth and partnerships across the UK and Europe, supporting the next phase of international expansion.

Qualified Trainers (QT) has announced the appointment of Richie Allan as Vice President of Growth & Partnerships, marking a major step in the company's global expansion strategy.

Following strong success across Australia, QT is now accelerating its expansion into the UK and Europe, bringing its operational platform and data-driven approach to fitness businesses globally.

From Operational Tool to Strategic Platform

Qualified Trainers has quickly evolved beyond a traditional group fitness management tool, becoming a central operations platform for fitness facilities and studios.

While the platform streamlines key workflows such as cover management, compliance tracking, communication, payroll, invoicing, and superannuation payments every pay cycle, its broader value lies in the operational insights it delivers.

QT enables operators to move from reactive management to data-led decision making, providing visibility across:

  • Class attendance trends and performance by time slot
  • Cost per class and cost per head
  • Instructor utilisation and workload
  • Studio capacity and occupancy rates
  • Cover frequency, patterns, and risk areas
  • Class popularity and seasonal trends

This level of insight allows operators to optimise timetables, improve profitability, and make informed strategic decisions across single and multi-site operations.

Driving the Next Phase of Growth

With increasing demand from both enterprise gyms and boutique studios, QT is entering a critical growth phase. The appointment of Richie Allan reflects a strategic move to scale internationally with leadership that understands both the commercial and operational dynamics of the fitness industry.

A Proven Leader in Fitness Growth and Partnerships

Richie Allan brings more than two decades of experience across business growth, sales leadership, and strategic partnerships. He has held senior leadership roles at CoverMe, Active-Insight, EZ Loyalty, and W3:Ride, where he played a key role in driving commercial expansion and partnership-led growth.

His earlier career includes work with leading fitness brands such as Les Mills UK, Xercise4Less, The Gym Group, Fitness First UK, David Lloyd Clubs, Esporta, and Total Fitness. Richie holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and Marketing from Teesside University, and is widely recognised for building high-performing teams and delivering sustainable growth.

Leadership Perspective

“Richie's experience in scaling fitness businesses and building meaningful partnerships makes him the perfect fit for this next phase of Qualified Trainers. What we've built in Australia is just the beginning. The opportunity globally is significant.”

— Jason Edwards, Director, Qualified Trainers

Jason Edwards added that QT's focus is not only to provide software, but to give operators real visibility into group fitness operations, from performance and profitability through to instructor utilisation, with Richie playing a key role in taking that vision to the UK, Europe, and beyond.

Richie Allan on Joining Qualified Trainers

“I've seen first-hand the operational challenges fitness businesses face, particularly when managing instructors, compliance, and growth across multiple locations. What Qualified Trainers has built is genuinely different, it's not just about managing day-to-day activity, it's about giving operators the insight and control they've been missing.”

— Richie Allan

Richie said there is a strong opportunity to bring this level of visibility and efficiency to UK and European markets, and that he is excited to build meaningful partnerships across the industry as QT expands.

Scaling Insight-Led Fitness Operations Globally

QT's approach is centred on one key principle: you can't improve what you can't see. By connecting timetable data, instructor activity, attendance, and payroll into one platform, QT delivers a single source of truth for group fitness operations.

For operators, this means:

  • Understanding exactly which classes drive value
  • Identifying underperforming time slots or formats
  • Aligning instructor costs with class performance
  • Making informed decisions across multiple sites with consistent data

A Strategic Expansion into the UK and Europe

In his role as Vice President of Growth & Partnerships, Richie Allan will lead QT's expansion across the UK and Europe, focusing on:

  • Building strategic partnerships with fitness brands and suppliers
  • Driving adoption across multi-site operators and franchise groups
  • Supporting enterprise rollouts
  • Establishing QT as a leading operations platform in the region

Looking Ahead

With continued product development and a strong focus on delivering actionable insights, Qualified Trainers is positioning itself as a global leader in fitness operations management. Richie Allan's appointment signals the next phase of that journey, combining proven industry leadership with a platform designed to give fitness businesses clarity, control, and the data they need to grow.
